Super delicious Neapolitan-style pizzas in Honolulu! Zucchi Pizza is across the street from Ala Moana Center. This recently opened pizza truck features a wood-burning brick oven and makes some of the tastiest pizza on the island ^_^

We love eating pizza in Hawaii. And happily in the last five or so years, many great spots have opened in town! Newest is Zucchi Pizza.
Zucchi is different from many places because it is a food truck (though not an actual truck). The centerpiece of it all is a gorgeous wood burning oven that was shipped from Naples to Hawaii. Each pizza is baked at 850F for 90 seconds! It's mesmerizing to watch.
They make Neapolitan-style pizza and it is super good.
Location
Zucchi located right in front of the YMCA across from Ala Moana.
It's part of a new cluster of food trucks. There are picnic tables so you can also eat and enjoy there!
This is what it looks like from across the street when you're crossing Atkinson Drive. Look for the cluster of food trucks.
Zucchi Pizza is tucked in the center (where you see the grey tent).
What To Order
That's the menu pictured above! It changes occasionally so check their Instagram for the most current menu. Each pizza ranges from $25-29.
Estimate one pizza per person if you're very hungry. Or two pizzas for three people is also a good amount. Though getting one per person and having leftovers is not a bad idea. Pizza for late night snack ^_^
I went with friends and we shared three types. The San Daniele was our favorite with a beautiful ball of fresh burrata in the center. The pizza had San Marzano tomato sauce, bresaola, tomatoes, and local basil and arugula. Plus shaved parmigiano reggiano and olive oil. Break apart the burrata and gently nudge it outwards so that each slice gets some burrata.
We also ordered a Margherita pizza which all the kids (and adults) were big fans of. They provided a bottle of hot honey to drizzle on top, making it extra special.
This is the Spinach, Feta, and Mushrooms! It has alfredo sauce, mozzarella, spinach, feta cheese, garlic, sautéed shimeji mushrooms with wine, leeks, artichokes, and sweet beak peppers (these were very neat!) Plus parmigiano reggiano and and olive oil.
Each of the pizzas were so different, united by an excellent crust. It was fun to get a variety and share. Most importantly, everyone had a good time ^_^
Insider Tips
Parking
Park at the Ala Moana Center and walk over (maybe shop a little at the mall first so that you don't get ticketed). Or park at Ala Moana Beach Park!
Seating
There are a few picnic tables located right next to the pizza truck. I recommend going early to get a seat! You can also order pizza for takeout and eat elsewhere.
Takeout
If you get takeout, ordering online is a good idea. You can also drive up to the loading area (instead of having to park at Ala Moana and walk over) to pick up the pizza. But make sure to eat it asap, it is best hot and fresh.
Kid Friendly
This a kid friendly place which is a nice perk! The truck and the picnic tables are located on a big grassy patch so kids can run around (though keep an eye on them!) while waiting for your pizza. The owners also have a very cute son that likes to play with other kids.
