You can make super saucy and flavorful Black Pepper Pork in just 15 minutes. This dish is seasoned with plenty of black pepper, garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce. I love it for quick dinners. So good and juicy!! Make sure to eat this with rice ^_^

Pepper Pork is a simple dish we grew up eating. It's a little Chinese, a little Vietnamese...and mostly, very tasty.
My mom used to make it for quick meals when we were kids. And 30+ years later we are still eating this for quick and super satisfying meals. Thank you, mom!
Do you love garlic? Yes. Do you love black pepper? Yes.
Ok then you will love this dish ^_^
Ingredients
Here's what you'll need:
- Pork loin, thinly sliced - I like to buy the big pork loin at Costco Hawaii and thinly sliced the entire loin. Then I divide it into 1 pound portions. Freeze the individual portions and you'll always have thinly sliced pork loin available and ready to make this dish!
- Garlic, minced
- Soy sauce
- Fish sauce
- Ground black pepper
- Sugar, optional
Instructions
Let's get cooking!
In a large pan over medium-high heat, add some oil and minced garlic. Cook for 2 minutes, or just until the garlic starts to turn golden.
Add all the thinly sliced pork and stir fry for 2 minutes until the pork is nearly cooked through.
Then add ¼ cup of water, the soy sauce, fish sauce, and black pepper.
Cook for 1 more minute until everything is evenly mixed.
The pork should be cooked through and the whole dish should look juicy and tasty. Now it's ready to eat!
Transfer to a shallow bowl. Enjoy and eat with rice. Make sure to spoon all the sauce/juices over the rice, INCREDIBLE ^_^
FAQ
Our go to dinner combo for this dish is:
- big bowl of rice
- pepper pork
- ong choy (pictured above)!
This combo is good and simple and most importantly, really delicious.
I personally think it tastes best with pork loin. But you can also use boneless, skinless chicken thighs.
When I make this dish, I do not use any sugar. When my mom makes it, she adds the smallest pinch of sugar. The sugar makes the dish more balanced, but it's my personal preference to not use the sugar. Try it both ways, I'm curious what you think!

You are my "go to" recipe source. I plan to try your "Explore More" ginger pork and also the garlic chive dumplings. When my sister came to visit from Washington State, the highlight of her trip was cooking some of your recipes with me. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you truly for this kind comment, Teresa! You made my day ^_^ I'm so happy you enjoy and I will do my best to continue making more tasty recipes!
